Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Adelaide

Make your way to Adelaide,  Its ring of parkland on the River Torrens is home to renowned museums such as the Art Gallery of South Australia, displaying expansive collections including noted Indigenous art, and the South Australian Museum, devoted to natural history. Our lovely driver will pick you up at the airport and then transfer to the hotel.  You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore the city.

Day 2

Barossa Valley & Wineries

Time: 9:15 am – 5:15 pm

Duration: 8 Hours

Wine and lunch are the delights of a dream day out in the Barossa on this intimate full-day tour. Take time to sample some of the Barossa’s finest wines and gourmet food that has made this South Australian wine region an international icon. Penfolds experience immerse yourself in the history of one of Australia’s oldest, iconic wineries. Walk through the original working winery, explore the vineyards, and uncover the historic tales of the underground drives. Lunch at Fino signiture Seppeltsfield. Experience of the Centennial Cellar – the jewel in the crown at Seppeltsfield, privately hosted by a Seppeltsfield wine educator.  Walk alongside the longest lineage of single vintage wines in the world dating back to 1878, culminating in a taste of Para Vintage Tawny direct from the barrel of your birth year – a bucket list experience!  Then enjoy a thoughtfully curated, regional shared menu, paired with Seppeltsfield Wines, celebrating the best of South Australia. At times the Seal Bay Discovery itinerary may be offered in lieu of the above itinerary due to operational requirements: return cruise to Kangaroo Island, Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, two-course lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro, Seal Bay Conservation Park guided beach walk, ‘In-Flight’ Birds of Prey display and Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park.

Itinerary

Travel to Cape Jervis for your cruise across to Kangaroo Island. This island paradise is renowned for its prolific wildlife and unspoiled landscape. Walk with Seals at Seal Bay. Continue to Flinders Chase National Park where you’ll most likely spot koalas, echidnas, goannas, or kangaroos in their natural habitat! Marvel at the awesome rock formations of Remarkable Rocks. New Zealand Fur Seals and soaring seabirds at Admirals Arch.

Day 5

Boarding The Ghan In Adelaide

At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Adelaide train station for The Ghan journey. Step aboard The Ghan in Adelaide for your unforgettable adventure to the Top End. As the train leaves the city heading for the Flinders Ranges and beyond, it’s your chance to settle into your cabin and watch the changes in landscape from your very own window.

After arriving in Alice Springs and disembarking at The Ghan, your small group tour with Outback Spirit will commence.

Day 7

Alice Springs – Uluru – Kata Tjuta Sunset

This morning, travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges. Stop to view Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Enjoy a leisurely drive to Kata Tjuta to take in a magnificent outback sunset, while enjoying sparkling wine.

Day 8

Uluru Sunrise – Kata Tjuta – Uluru Sacred Sites & Sunset – BBQ

Watch the sunrise at Uluru and then travel to Kata Tjuta and walk through Walpa Gorge. Later, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center and then tour the sacred sites around the base of Uluru. Continue to the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole. Witness the striking color changes of Uluru at sunset before continuing to our exclusive barbecue venue, where you’ll dine from a delicious menu accompanied by a selection of beverages.

Day 9

Kings Canyon & Outback Panoramas

Embark on a journey through the desert plains towards Kings Canyon, starting with a cooked breakfast at Kings Creek Station. Explore the canyon’s rim on a 6 km guided walk, delving into its history, geology, and the diverse flora and fauna. Visit the Garden of Eden for breathtaking views across Watarrka National Park, with swimming off-limits. Opt for a leisurely Creek Bed Walk for stunning views of the canyon’s cliffs, or take an optional scenic helicopter flight for an aerial perspective (at your own expense). Enjoy lunch and a refreshing swim at Kings Canyon Resort, both at your own expense.

Explore the Telegraph Station – The first European settlement in Alice Springs, and learn how it relayed messages between Darwin and Adelaide for 60 years.

Visit the headquarters of the Royal Flying Doctor Service – Which delivers medical services to those who live and work in remote rural Australia.

Enjoy panoramic views – Over Alice and the surrounding West MacDonnell Ranges, from the top of Anzac Hill.

Luggage

All the packages are inclusive of 20kg Check-in luggage / Hand luggage 7 kg. You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and offloading of the luggage from the coach.
