Day 2: Alice Springs Luxury Coach Tour
Enjoy a morning at your leisure to explore Alice Springs, before setting off on our 4 hour luxury coach tour with great informative commentary from our experienced local guide. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service (headquarters of the globally respected medical service providing a critical link to remote communities throughout the Northern Territory), Historic Telegraph Station (site of the first European settlement in Alice Springs, established in 1872 to relay messages between Darwin and Adelaide), School of the Air (provides education to primary school aged children living on remote properties throughout the Northern Territory since 1951), Anzac Hill (dedicated as a war memorial to honour those that have fallen in Australia’s wars, with magnificent panoramic views over Alice and the surrounding West MacDonnell Ranges) and Alice Springs Reptile Centre (amazing NT animals like saltwater crocodiles, huge goannas, frill-neck lizards and Gecko Cave). Day 3: Uluru with Special Dinner
Uluru is one of the world’s most recognisable natural landmarks and is regarded in geology as an “Island Mountain”. Stand in awe as it overwhelms your senses with its sheer scale, its changing colours, its incredible texture, its spirit and its wonder. The monolith of Uluru (Ayers Rock) is listed as a World Heritage Site residing in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park which is home to a plethora of springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings. Uluru has great cultural significance for the Anangu Aboriginal people who share their Dreamtime stories.
Your friendly driver will pick you up in the comfortable air-conditioned luxury coach before sharing experiences, fascinating facts and enchanting stories in the onboard full commentary throughout the day. Head out of Alice Springs through “The Gap” in the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges, take a break at Erldunda Roadhouse (typical remote outback roadhouse), cross remote endless desert plains and experience the vast openness of Outback Australia. Visit the Kata Tjuta Aboriginal Cultural Centre with time to explore and buy souvenirs. Crafted from 90,000 mud bricks, this remarkable Centre is a living tribute to the Anangu people, who generously shared their wisdom to bring it to life. Standing on sacred ground, you’ll feel the profound significance it holds for its traditional custodians.
Welcome to Uluru… as we arrive at the base of this majestic monolith, let the spirit and presence of Uluru wash over you – the heart of Australia. Learn of Aboriginal Tjukurpa on the Mala Walk, where you’ll witness fascinating examples of Anangu rock art and hear ancient stories, take a guided walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole, learn of the law, legends and bush tucker of the beautiful Anangu people and stand in awe at caves containing intriguing Indigenous rock art. Witness the changing colours of Uluru at sunset while sipping sparkling wine and enjoying your Special Dinner. With Uluru as a dramatic backdrop, it will be hard to forget this delicious BBQ dinner. Return to Alice Springs following dinner (with a convenience stop) to conclude a day full of wonderful new experiences and new memories. Day 4: West MacDonnell Ranges Luxury Coach Tour
Today explore the iconic West MacDonnell Ranges that form the dramatic ochre red back-drop to Alice Springs, including Simpson’s Gap, Standley Chasm, Ellery Creek Big Hole and Ormiston Gorge. This amazing Central Australian geological feature has many hidden treasures for you to discover.
Travel west on Larapinta Drive, passing the John Flynn Memorial (foot of Mt Gillen), see what remains of the twin ghost gums (famous painting by Albert Namatjira). Stop at Simpsons Gap with its beautiful permanent water hole, admire Standley Chasm (amazing red cleft that glows) whilst enjoying a delicious morning tea and perhaps walk into the spellbinding Chasm (Angkerle Creek bed). Visit the Ochre Pits to admire the vivid colours of the mineral walls – mined for generations by the Arrernte people of the region. Experience Ormiston Gorge and waterhole where we pause to enjoy a delicious ploughman’s picnic lunch, with time to enjoy the refreshing waterhole (perhaps have a well-deserved swim). All the time spotting for the amazing wildlife such as eagles, kites and falcons (soaring above the range on warm currents) as well as black-footed rock wallabies and desert lizards. We complete our incredible West Macdonnells experience at Ellery Creek Big Hole – one of Central Australia’s most pristine – where we have the chance to enjoy a swim in the summer months.

Day 5: Heart of the Outback & Ancient Rock Carvings Coach Tour
Immerse yourself in the heart and soul of Central Australia as we embark on our morning adventure along the Old South Road, where the awe-inspiring expanse of the Red Centre stretches out before us. The vast outback landscape, painted in deep reds and golden hues, invites us to lose ourselves in its breathtaking beauty. Listen to tales of the ancient Finke River, the building of the historic telegraph line, and the rich cultural tapestry that has shaped this land for generations.
Our first stop is the sacred Napwerte/Ewaninga Aboriginal Rock Carvings Conservation Reserve, where the land reveals its ancient secrets. As we walk amongst the ancient petroglyphs, carved into stone by the early Arrernte people, feel the deep connection to this land and its timeless history. We then journey to Ooraminna Station Homestead, where the heart of the outback comes alive. This working cattle station immerses us in the charm, grit, and authenticity of outback life. Explore the homestead and its famed saloon, where cinematic history was made in “The Drover’s Boy”. Savour a peaceful morning tea on the homestead deck, surrounded by vast outback wilderness.
Our morning continues to the Red Dune Desert Lookout, where the deep crimson sands of the desert meet the endless sky. Stand atop the vibrant red dunes, gazing out across a landscape that seems to stretch forever. The panoramic views of the Central Australian desert, framed by the distant MacDonnell Ranges, are nothing short of breathtaking. Our final stop is the Old Ghan Museum, where the past comes alive in stories of the pioneering spirit that helped shape this rugged land. Step into a world where railroads and resilience intertwined, as we explore the museum’s treasures and relive the historic journey of The Ghan train. Your afternoon is free to explore Alice Springs your own way, perhaps spend time discovering thriving Alice Springs, the Cultural Precinct, National Pioneer Women’s Hall of Fame, Road Transport Hall of Fame, Olive Pink Botanic Gardens or Todd Mall.

Days 6–7: The Ghan Alice Springs to Darwin

Day 9: Litchfield Luxury Day Tour
This is a truly beautiful and spiritual destination. The iconic Litchfield National Park is famous for stunning cascading tropical waterfalls, warm swimming holes, the Tabletop Range sandstone plateau, monsoon tropical rainforests, intriguing magnetic termite mounds and ancient Aboriginal sites of the Wagait people. Significant attractions include Florence Falls, Buley Rockhole,

Today you will discover Litchfield, including Florence Falls, the termite mounds, Wangi Falls and Tolmer Falls with the opportunity to take a dip in refreshing natural plunge pools bordered by magnificent pandanus palms.
We skirt Francis Bay on Darwin Harbour and head south out of Darwin on the Stuart Highway to Litchfield National Park. Visit Florence Falls (stunning views, perhaps walk down to the plunge pool for a swim in this beautiful oasis), see monsoon forests and woodland areas on an Interpretive Guided Walk, take a walk to view Tolmer Falls (breathtaking valley with a waterfall, home to colonies of rare ghost and orange horseshoe bats, and distant views toward the coast over cattle stations), enjoy lunch surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Litchfield, visit Wangi Falls and the large enticing plunge pool (perhaps take a dip or a stroll through lush tropical forest or relax and just take it all in), stop at the Meridien Termite Mounds (learn about Cathedral and Magnetic Termite Mounds). Day 10: Jumping Crocodiles Luxury Day Tour
Enjoy some free time this morning to explore Darwin before you set off for an exciting afternoon. Travel inland to cruise a section of the Adelaide River and witness saltwater crocodiles close up as they leap out of the water to snatch their food. The Adelaide River starts in Litchfield National Park and is well known for its thriving high concentration of saltwater crocodiles, along with other wildlife including white-bellied sea eagles, whistling kites, freshwater crocodiles, bull sharks and the black flying-fox. An excellent opportunity to observe these primeval creatures as you cruise along the Adelaide River.
Today you will cruise the Adelaide River in crocodile-infested waters, watch as your guide entices massive wild saltwater crocodiles to jump and snatch their food (witnessing crocodiles up close). Experience the ultimate thrill as these magnificent creatures leap out of the water with sheer power and grace – creating a profound sense of excitement and awe that will stay with you forever.
Enjoy a stop at Howard Springs, for a chance to see barramundi and turtles. Today is an amazing adventure.

Day 11: Kakadu Luxury Day Tour & Cruise

Upon arrival to Kakadu National Park, take in the serenity and beauty that nature gifts in the Kakadu wetlands and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn the stories and traditional ways of the beautiful Aboriginal people of Kakadu – the Bininj traditional owners. Take a 1.5 hour guided cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, spotting for saltwater crocodiles and colourful birdlife, including sea eagles, brolgas and tiny, brilliantly hued kingfishers. Marvel at Estuarine Crocodiles basking in the shallows and on the sandy banks. Enjoy a delicious lunch before taking a short guided walk to Nourlangie Rock to see ancient Aboriginal rock art. Head back into Darwin after a full day of discovery and wonderful experiences to treasure.
