We begin our journey with a visit to Russell Falls, Tasmania’s most iconic waterfall. Continuing our exploration, we ascend the stairs to Horseshoe Falls, a majestic waterfall nestled within the forest. Some even consider it more impressive than Russell Falls! As we follow the Three Falls Circuit, we enter the Tall Trees Track section, where towering Swamp Gums, reaching up to 80 meters in height, loom above us. For the adventurous and energetic, there’s an option to complete the full 6-kilometer circuit, including a visit to Lady Barron Falls. Alternatively, those seeking a more relaxed experience can return to our starting point.
Our next stop is Bonorong Wildlife Park, a sanctuary for rescued and cherished wildlife. Get up close with Tasmanian Devils and spot freely hopping wallabies, along with many other beloved local species. Witness a feeding session of the endangered Tasmanian Devils, an interactive and entertaining experience.
To conclude this truly Tasmanian day, we head to the summit of kunanyi/Mt. Wellington. Soaring 1,271 meters above Hobart, the summit offers awe-inspiring panoramic views on clear days. Marvel at the expansive vistas and soak in the remarkable scenery, providing a perfect finale to a day filled with rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife encounters, and unforgettable landscapes.
