Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Taipei

Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), transfer to your hotel by car or van (without a guide) and enjoy the rest of the day exploring Taipei at your own pace. You may use a One-Day Taipei Metro Pass for unlimited MRT rides to explore various attractions.

Day 2: Taipei City Exploration

Visit the National Palace Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of ancient Chinese artifacts. Continue to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and witness the ceremonial Guard Change. Explore the cultural richness of Lungshan Temple and conclude the day with panoramic views from Taipei 101.

Day 3: Taipei to Taroko Gorge

Depart with an English-speaking guide and drive through the 12.9 km-long Hsuehshan Tunnel and coastal cliff highway. Stop for photos at Chinshui Cliff. Arrive at Taroko National Park to admire the marble gorge with stops at the Taroko Gorge Gateway. Swallow Grotto and Eternal Spring Shrine will be passed by due to earthquake damage.

Day 4: Taroko to Sun Moon Lake

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Central Cross-Island Highway via Wuling on Mt. Hehuan (3,275m), offering breathtaking views of the Central Mountains. Arrive at Sun Moon Lake and drive around the lake, stopping at Wen-wu Temple.

Day 5: Sun Moon Lake to Tainan

Explore Sun Moon Lake’s lakeside attractions including the Holy Monk Shrine, Ita Thao village, and Tse En Pagoda. Transfer to Tainan and enjoy a walking tour around Anping Fort and Old Street, experiencing Taiwan’s blend of historical and modern culture.

Day 6: Tainan to Kaohsiung

Visit Chikan Tower and Taiwan’s first Confucius Temple. Drive to Kaohsiung and explore Foguanshan Monastery, including a light vegetarian lunch. Arrive in Kaohsiung, check in, and optionally explore Liuho Night Market or city night views.

Day 7: Kaohsiung to Lukang to Taipei Airport

Start the day with visits to the Dragon & Tiger Pagodas and Spring & Autumn Pavilions. Then drive to Lukang and explore Lungshan Temple. Continue to Taoyuan International Airport for your departure.

Passport Validity

Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or at least 6 months’ validity for use on arrival to the foreign country. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.

Luggage

All the packages are inclusive of 23kg Check-in luggage / Hand luggage 7 kg. You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and offloading of the luggage from the coach.
