Day 1: Arrive in Perth
Feel the great expansive openness of the West Coast with its big blue skies and its ever-developing yet youthful capital city of Perth. Our representative will personally meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring your hotel and its facilities or stroll around the neighborhood and central Perth.

Day 2: Pinnacles, Koalas, and Sandboarding 4WD Adventure
Visit Caversham Wildlife Park in the Swan Valley to take pictures with koalas, wombats, and hand-feed kangaroos. Travel to Lancelin, a stunning coastal fishing town, for an exciting 4WD adventure over the vast sand dunes and a thrilling downhill sandboarding experience. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour at Cervantes’ lobster factory, followed by a fish and chips lunch (optional upgrade to half a grilled lobster). Explore the mystical Pinnacles Desert with an easy-paced walk through Nambung National Park before returning to Perth.

Day 3: Discover Rottnest Island

Day 7: Board the Indian Pacific in Perth
Your afternoon begins with a welcome gathering, in celebration of the start of your journey across the country and along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track. Spend a relaxed afternoon getting to know your fellow travellers after you board the Indian Pacific and pull away from Perth, leaving the Indian Ocean behind and cruising toward the Pacific. Tonight, a delectable dinner is served on board, featuring contemporary Australian cuisine with seasonal and regional flavours.

Day 8: Kalgoorlie & Cook
Awake to see the sunrise unfold across Australia’s largest outback town, Kalgoorlie. This morning, we’ll delve into this mining town’s fascinating past and present, with a visit to the region’s gold-rush era, now modern-day, Super Pit mine. Decide how you want to explore Kalgoorlie on your choice of Off Train Experience, including morning refreshments.
Reboarding the train mid-morning for brunch, the remainder of the day is on board at your leisure. Sit back and enjoy the hospitality as you take in spectacular views of the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain. You’ll cross borders and time zones, entering South Australia before dinner. Late evening, the train will pull into the almost-ghost-town of Cook for a nightcap, late-night bonfire and stargazing experience.

Day 9: Arrive in Adelaide & Transfer to Monarto Safari Resort
Spend the morning travelling through the pastoral lands and communities of remote South Australia as the Indian Pacific cruises past the Flinders Rangers, Spencer Gulf and the Adelaide Plains. Breakfast and lunch are both served on board. Mid-afternoon, the train arrives in Adelaide where you will be transferred by private vehicle to Monarto Safari Resort, approximately 50 minutes from the city centre and nestled in South Australia’s expansive Murraylands. Today is yours to explore Monarto Safari Park via the guided Zu-Loop bus experience, or a combination of the Zu-Loop bus and walking. You can hop on and off the bus at the wildlife viewing platforms and spend time observing your favourite animal species, including Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs, Rhinos, Chimpanzees, and more. Tonight, join your Sunset Wildlife Safari, soaking in the last rays of sun on your small group guided tour.
