Itinerary: Auckland – Rotorua – Napier – Wellington 

Day 1: Auckland

Collect your car and enjoy a free day to explore Auckland at your own leisure.

Day 2: Auckland – Rotorua (350km)

Travel south before arriving in Rotorua, where you will spend the next two nights.

Day 3: Rotorua

Experience Maori culture and New Zealand nature as you have a tour of the National Kiwi Hatchery followed by an evening of culture, song, dance and a traditional hangi, cooked underground with hot stones.

Day 4: Rotorua – Napier (220km)

Travel south route via Lake Taupo, visit the three volcanic mountains of Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro before continuing on to Napier, where you will spend the next two nights.

Day 5: Napier

A day at leisure to visit Napier.

Day 6: Napier – Wellington (316km)

Enjoy the scenery of south to New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. 

Day 7: Wellington

Spend the day at leisure exploring the capital.

Day 8: Tour finish in Wellington
