Day 1: Arrival in Jinan – City of Springs
Arrive in Jinan by flight or high-speed train. Upon arrival, you will be met by your private English-speaking guide and driver and transferred to your downtown hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to recover from your journey or explore the city independently.

Day 2: Jinan City Highlights → Tai’an
After breakfast, begin your exploration of Jinan’s celebrated spring culture.
• Black Tiger Spring – Famous for powerful water jets emerging from carved stone tiger heads and local residents collecting spring water.
• Baotu Spring Park – Known as “No.1 Spring Under Heaven,” featuring classical gardens, ancient pavilions, and imperial inscriptions.
• Daming Lake – A tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by willow trees and historic architecture. Enjoy a leisurely boat cruise.
In the afternoon, drive to Tai’an at the foot of Mount Tai. Before hotel check-in, visit Dai Temple, the most important Taoist complex associated with Mount Tai and a former imperial sacrificial site dating back to the Han Dynasty.

Day 3: Mount Tai Sacred Ascent → Qufu
After breakfast, proceed to Mount Tai, the most revered of China’s Five Sacred Mountains and a UNESCO World Cultural & Natural Heritage Site.
• Scenic shuttle bus transfer to Zhongtianmen (Middle Heaven Gate)
• Classic uphill hike along ancient stone steps through temples, pine forests, and historic inscriptions
• Reach Nantianmen (South Heaven Gate) and explore the summit area, including:
– Heavenly Street
– Jade Emperor Hall
– Panoramic viewpoints over peaks and seas of clouds
Descend by cable car, then continue by road to Qufu.

Day 4: Qufu Confucian Heritage → High-Speed Train to Qingdao
This morning is dedicated to the legacy of Confucius and Confucianism.
• Confucius Temple – Witness the ceremonial city gate opening ritual (subject to timing) and explore the most important Confucian temple complex in East Asia.
• Confucius Cemetery (Konglin) – The burial site of Confucius and more than 100,000 descendants across multiple dynasties.
In the afternoon, take a high-speed train to Qingdao (approx. 3 hours). Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your downtown hotel.

Day 5: Qingdao City Culture & Laoshan Mountain
Begin the day with a visit to Qingdao’s most iconic brand.

Continue to Laoshan Mountain, known as “The Most Famous Mountain on the Sea.” Explore the Taiqing Scenic Area:
• Hike along mountain paths, streams, and waterfalls
• Visit Taoist landmarks such as Shangqing Palace and Mingxia Cave
• Enjoy dramatic mountain-and-sea views
• Descend by cable car to Taiqing Palace, the spiritual center of Taoism in Qingdao
Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

• Zhanqiao Pier – Qingdao’s iconic pier extending into Qingdao Bay.
