Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Tokyo

Upon arrival at Tokyo airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure, giving you time to explore Tokyo at your own pace.

Day 2: Tokyo

Your cultural discovery in Tokyo begins with a visit to Meiji Shrine, followed by a scenic city drive past Harajuku, the Imperial Palace, Akihabara, and Ueno. In Asakusa, you’ll explore Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Street, experience a traditional matcha tea ceremony, and enjoy a delightful Japanese Izakaya-style lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll ascend Tokyo Skytree for panoramic city views and, weather permitting, enjoy a tranquil Tokyo Bay cruise. The day ends with a drive through Roppongi or Shinjuku, passing Tokyo Tower.

Day 3: Mt. Fuji

After breakfast, head to Lake Kawaguchi area where you’ll visit Chureito Pagoda, Oishi Park, and enjoy the Panoramic Ropeway. In the evening, check in to a traditional onsen ryokan to relax with a hot spring bath and enjoy a Japanese-style dinner.

Day 4: Green Cabin Shinkansen to Kyoto

In the morning, depart Kawaguchiko and take the Green Cabin Shinkansen to Kyoto. Upon arrival at Kyoto Station, check into a hotel located nearby. In the afternoon, you have the option to join a private guided tour of Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, and Ninenzaka (additional $370 AUD per person). In the evening, stroll through Kyoto’s historic Gion District and enjoy dinner along Pontocho Alley.

Day 5: Kyoto – Nara

Start the day in Kyoto’s Arashiyama area, visiting the Bamboo Grove and Togetsukyo Bridge. Then travel to Nara to see Todai-ji Temple, meet the friendly deer in Nara Park, and explore Kasuga Taisha Shrine. End the day in Osaka, where you’ll dive into the vibrant scenes of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi.

Day 6: “Lost Osaka: Night Walk Through Shadows & Stories” tour

In the evening, embark on the “Lost Osaka: Night Walk Through Shadows & Stories” tour. This immersive experience takes you through retro neighborhoods, hidden alleys, and a preserved Taisho-era red-light district with UNESCO-listed architecture. Along the way, enjoy tastings from two local food stalls and gain deep insights into Osaka’s lesser-known cultural layers, including topics like the Yakuza, war history, and social inequality. Note: the homeless district is not entered.

Day 7: Departure

This morning, you’ll dive into the captivating history of Shanghai at the Shanghai History Museum, a must-see landmark that offers a deep understanding of the city’s vibrant past. Passport Validity

Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or at least 6 months’ validity for use on arrival to the foreign country. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.

Luggage

All the packages are inclusive of 23kg Check-in luggage / Hand luggage 7 kg. You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and offloading of the luggage from the coach.
