Buccaneer Explorer
Today, you’ll begin by flying over the awe-inspiring King Sound, known for its massive tides, before experiencing the mesmerizing Horizontal Waterfalls, acclaimed by Sir David Attenborough as the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’, and continuing your journey over the ancient Buccaneer Archipelago, home to 1,000 islands made of Precambrian sandstone over 2 billion years old, and passing over Koolan and Cockatoo Island, known for the world’s richest iron ore deposits, before landing at Ardyaloon (One Arm Point) where you can enjoy a refreshing swim at the stunning Jologo Beach and visit the Ardyaloon Trochus Hatchery and Aquaculture Centre for lunch and a guided tour with an experienced local guide to learn about the Bardi-Jawi people’s saltwater traditions and get up close and personal with some of the diverse marine life, followed by a coastal return flight overhead the breathtaking red cliffs at Cape Leveque and southbound along the beautiful bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula with views of Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek Pearl Farm, and Broome’s world-famous Cable Beach.
Please Bring: Swimwear, Towel, Hat, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Camera
*The Horizontal waterfall is a natural phenomenon that is tide-dependent on variable flow. We do our very best to arrive at a time of optimum flow, but cannot guarantee the amount or level of water flowing through the Horizontal Waterfalls at any given time. Please note, should for any reason the Ardyaloon Community close, the hatchery will be replaced with a visit to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm.
