DAY 2 Adelaide City Tour

If the coast calls to you, Glenelg—a charming seaside haven known for its stunning beaches and vibrant attractions—could be the perfect escape.

DAY 4 Board the Proud Mary

Take this day to unwind and savor the tranquility before your evening transfer to Murray Bridge, where you will board the Proud Mary. After settling into your cozy river-view cabin, indulge in a delightful dinner while meeting the welcoming crew, as the Captain introduces everyone to your exciting river adventure ahead.

DAY 5 Cruise to Teal Flat

As you set sail from Woodlane, the breathtaking scenery along the Murray River unfolds before you. The historic willows lining the shores, planted in the early 1900s, stand tall, guiding riverboat captains through the expansive inland lagoons. Enjoy a choice of a light continental breakfast or a hearty cooked meal as you glide towards Mannum, where you can take a leisurely stroll through this delightful town or sip coffee while soaking in the splendor of the Murray.

After departing Mannum, continue your journey through Younghusband toward Teal Flat, relishing a scrumptious lunch prepared by your onboard chefs. Get up close to the region’s natural beauty with a guided small boat cruise led by an expert ecologist. DAY 6 Explore Mannum and return to Adelaide

Enjoy the natural beauty of the mighty Murray as you pass through the quaint townships of Younghusband, Pellaring Flat, and Cowirra. Upon reaching Mannum, board the waiting coach for a guided tour of this historic riverside gem. Discover its breathtaking landscapes, unique history, and rich riverboat heritage, learning about Mannum’s significant role in South Australia’s growth and the launch of the first paddle-steamer, the “Mary Ann,” in 1853.

Explore the Mannum Dock Discovery Centre, home to a captivating collection of historical memorabilia. Mannum is also known for its legacy of Australia’s first steam car with a differential, created by the Shearer brothers. After your enlightening tour, enjoy a delicious lunch featuring fresh local produce while cruising downriver to Murray Bridge. As your three-day cruise comes to an end, watch a video presentation about the 1956 Murray River flood. Later, your Delightful Travel representative will ensure your transfer back to Adelaide for a restful overnight stay.
