Your flexi-tour allows for a circular driving adventure—stay on for the entire tour to absorb our guide’s entertaining commentary, or hop off at any of the 13 incredible stops to explore at your leisure. DAY 4 Explore Bergen

Marvel at the Nidaros Cathedral, often referred to as “Norway’s Notre Dame,” known for its stunning Gothic architecture and status as the national sanctuary of Norway. DAY 8 Explore Bodø and the Lofoten Archipelago with stops at Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen, Nesna, Ørnes & Stamsund

Today marks our crossing into the Arctic Circle, an exhilarating milestone celebrated with a traditional ceremony. As we venture into the enchanting Norwegian Arctic, be prepared to be captivated by the breathtaking panoramas surrounding us. Witness the ethereal Northern Lights dancing across the winter sky or bask in the ethereal glow of the midnight sun during summer. The primal beauty of ancient glaciers and dramatic fjords whispers tales of a time long past, immersing you in a majestic wilderness where every breath of crisp Arctic air carries secrets of a serene land.
This afternoon, we arrive in Bodø, where dramatic landscapes and Northern Norwegian charm await. Home to the iconic Saltstraumen Bridge, which spans the planet’s strongest tidal current, Bodø offers spectacular views of the Arctic landscape, especially when illuminated by the golden glow of the midnight sun in summer.
You might consider visiting the modern Bodø Cathedral, a striking architectural landmark, or exploring the Norwegian Aviation Museum. Stroll along the scenic waterfront, indulge in local cuisine at charming cafes, or venture to Saltstraumen to witness the world’s most powerful maelstrom and revel in the region’s natural beauty.
Next, we cruise into the magnificent Lofoten archipelago, greeted by the towering Lofoten Wall that welcomes us with open arms. After brief stops at Stokmarknes and Sortland, we glide towards Finnsnes, the gateway to the enchanting island of Senja, linked by the awe-inspiring Gisund Bridge. Gaze at seabirds soaring overhead, including charming puffins that add to the symphony of nature’s wonders. Enjoy panoramic mountain views as we admire Finnsnes from the ship before continuing to our major port of call: Tromsø. Bathed in the midnight sun during summer and the mesmerizing glow of the Northern Lights in winter, Tromsø presents a distinctive polar atmosphere with its centuries-old wooden houses, glass-peaked Arctic Cathedral, and bustling student life reflected in the lively restaurants and bars.

Prepare for an adventure today as we explore Norway’s northernmost frontier. We begin with a short night stop at Øksfjord, followed by a morning visit to Hammerfest on the island of Kvaløya, known for its migrating reindeer herds in summer. Take in views of this quaint township from the ship before continuing to Havøysund, where the rugged coastline harmonizes with the silhouettes of fishing boats bobbing in the harbor.
Today, we have the chance to disembark in thriving Honningsvåg, one of Norway’s northernmost towns that invites you to embrace its Arctic adventure, rugged landscapes, and resilient spirit. Serving as the gateway to North Cape, the northernmost point of mainland Europe, Honningsvåg is bathed in the soft hues of the midnight sun during summer, creating a surreal ambiance. The iconic Nordkapp Plateau juts dramatically into the Arctic Ocean, offering intoxicating views.
Stroll through the town center, where you can find local crafts, from intricate Sami jewelry to authentic Norwegian souvenirs, or dive into the region’s maritime history at the Honningsvåg Museum. Alternatively, venture to nearby fishing villages or embark on an optional excursion to the North Cape, where you may encounter migrating reindeer along the way, depending on the season.
As we cruise onwards to Kjøllefjord, embark on an optional excursion, or simply enjoy the stunning views. Keep an eye out for the striking rock formation known as Finnkirka, an ancient site of indigenous Sámi sacrifices. You may also join a summer excursion to meet local Sámi, learn about reindeer herding, and listen to traditional joik songs, or experience the grandeur of the Arctic atop a snowmobile during winter and spring.
This evening, we reach Mehamn, a remote village nestled by the Norwegian Sea, filled with colorful fishing boats and local charm. Take in views of the town from the ship before we head to our final port for the night—Berlevåg, where vibrant homes cling to the coastline, creating a poignant tableau of life on Norway’s far northeastern edge.

DAY 11 Explore Kirkenes with stops at Båtsfjord, Vardø, Vadsø & Berlevåg

As the sun rises, we cruise through Vadsø, a scenic haven for birdwatchers lying directly under the migration path. Keep an eye out for hooded crows and sea eagles as we approach our major port of call: idyllic Kirkenes. Nestled in northeastern Norway, this charming coastal hub is a land of Arctic enchantment and cultural resilience. The famous Kirkenes Snowhotel, with its icy architecture, creates a fairy-tale atmosphere, while the town’s proximity to the Russian border adds a fascinating blend of Nordic and Russian influences. Whether witnessing the Northern Lights dance over the Barents Sea in winter or embarking on a husky safari, Kirkenes invites exploration.
Stroll through the town center, where colorful buildings reflect its vibrant spirit, or visit the Kirkenes Snowhotel—an establishment crafted entirely from ice and snow. For a deeper understanding of the region’s history, consider visiting the Borderland Museum, which sheds light on the impact of World War II and the unique border shared with Russia. You might also embark on a husky or snowmobile safari, a riverboat expedition to the Norwegian border, or a King Crab fishing adventure.

Back on board, our journey continues to Båtsfjord, where we admire the bustling harbor that reveals the rugged charm of this fishing community, illuminated by the flickering Northern Lights in winter.

DAY 12 Explore Hammerfest with stops at Mehamn, Kjøllefjord, Honningsvåg, Havøysund, Øksfjord & Skjervøy

Today, we are in for another spellbinding day at sea, soaking in the beauty of Arctic waters. Marvel at pristine fjords, snow-capped peaks, and the rugged landscapes surrounding us as we cruise. After enjoying breakfast, we dock at Havøysund and then arrive in Hammerfest, where we have time to explore this charming town. Nestled near the Arctic Ocean, Hammerfest is known for its rich maritime heritage and picturesque views.

Breakfast at the North Cape ($358, Summer & Autumn). Dock at Havøysund from 8:00am to 8:15am. Arrive into Hammerfest at 11:00am before setting sail again at 12:45pm. You can spend this time exploring Hammerfest your own way – or You may also choose to explore independently at your own pace. Dock at Øksfjord from 3:50pm to 4:05pm and Skjervøy from 7:30pm to 7:45pm. Arrive into Tromsø at 11:45am with time to discover the midnight magic of this renowned destination before setting sail again at 1:40am the next morning.

DAY 13 Explore Stokmarknes & Svolvær with stops at Finnsnes, Harstad, Risøyhamn, Sortland & Stamsund

As we sail through the breathtaking Lofoten and Vesterålen archipelagos today, prepare for an extraordinary journey where nature’s drama unfolds in majestic mountains, crystal-clear fjords, and charming fishing villages. After morning stops at Finnsnes and Harstad, we glide through Risøyhamn, a tranquil haven of colorful cabins against snowy peaks. Take in the serene atmosphere before we arrive at Sortland, where the iconic blue bridge connects the islands against a stunning backdrop of fjords.
Our next stop is Stokmarknes, the birthplace of Hurtigruten, where Captain Richard With embarked on this coastal adventure in 1893. Here, you’ll have time to visit the Hurtigrutemuseet, a unique ship-in-a-bottle structure that pays homage to the Hurtigruten legacy.
As we continue our journey, the Captain may navigate into the enchanting Trollfjord, where towering mountain walls seem to reach out to touch the ship. Witness the spectacular 180-degree turn as we exit the fjord, a thrilling experience you won’t want to miss.
This evening, we reach Svolvær, a postcard-perfect haven where peak and fjord converge in stunning harmony. The rorbuer, colorful fisherman’s cabins on stilts, grace the waterfront, embodying the region’s rich seafaring tradition. Take time to explore the charming streets filled with galleries and boutiques or enjoy a peaceful walk along the waterfront, taking in the majestic backdrop of nature. For a unique experience, consider visiting the Magic Ice Bar, where intricate ice sculptures create a magical atmosphere as you toast to your time in the Lofoten archipelago.

DAY 15 Explore Trondheim & Kristiansund with a stop at Molde

Another day of stunning scenic cruising awaits as we sail through breathtaking island scenery and quaint coastal communities. Our first stop is in the familiar port of Trondheim, where you have the morning at your leisure to explore this enchanting city. Perhaps uncover more of the secrets of the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral or visit the Ringve Museum of Musical History. Alternatively, relax at a cozy eatery and indulge in local delicacies featuring game, lamb, seafood, and berries.
As we depart Trondheim, enjoy a full day of scenic cruising where each moment reveals coastal wonders. The shimmering waters unveil majestic fjords, rugged coastlines, and charming fishing villages that cling to the shores. The crisp sea breeze carries tales of maritime history as the changing hues of the sky paint a mesmerizing backdrop for our historic vessel.
Later in the afternoon, we arrive in Kristiansund, its pages opening like a Norwegian storybook along the scenic fjords. This charismatic town, spread across three islands, is known as Norway’s “Bacalao Capital” due to the salted cod dried on its rugged cliffs. Our brief stop allows time to wander the cobblestone streets of the old town or ascend to the viewpoint at Varden for breathtaking panoramas.
