Alternatively, soak up the sun at Glenelg, a picturesque seaside town famous for its stunning beaches and vibrant attractions. Shape the day according to your whims!


DAY 4 Board the Murray Princess and Cruise to Piggy Flat/Coolcha

In the afternoon, embark on a scenic luxury coach journey to Mannum, where your 8-day adventure aboard the Murray Princess begins. Savor a warm Welcome Dinner as you cruise northward toward Piggy Flat/Coolcha, keeping an eye out for nocturnal wildlife along the riverbanks, including kangaroos and wombats. Let the soothing sounds from your onboard entertainer accompany you as you glide under the floodlights to your overnight mooring.

DAY 7 Cruise to Waikerie and Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre

Your morning begins with a picturesque coach transfer to the delightful Riverland town of Waikerie and the serene Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre, situated along the banks of the Murray. Enjoy leisure time to explore Waikerie before indulging in a wine tasting at Banrock Station’s cellar door, followed by a delectable lunch and an engaging video presentation. Stroll through the lush gardens and orchards, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. As evening approaches, we return by coach to Morgan, where the P.S. Murray Princess awaits, continuing our journey upriver to moor for the night at the scenic 326km mark of the Murray River.

DAY 8 Cruise to Hogwash Bend to Morgan to Blanchetown with Winery Visit

After breakfast, we set out upriver to Hogwash Bend, a picturesque spot known for its natural beauty. Enjoy a leisurely lunch as we drift downstream toward Morgan. Upon reaching Morgan, you can partake in a guided tour of the township and the Living History Museum, where you’ll uncover the captivating stories of the paddle-steamer era that once thrived here. Discover the rich history of this town, which served as a hub for paddle-steamers in the 1800s. Afterward, return to the P.S. Murray Princess as we continue southward. We will moor opposite Blanchetown, where a visit to the Burk Salter Boutique Winery awaits, complete with a delightful wine tasting at their cellar door. The evening wraps up with the cheerful “Murray River Cup,” offering a touch of friendly competition and light-hearted fun.

DAY 9 Cruise to Swan Reach and Sunnydale

After breakfast, we sail toward Swan Reach, a town with origins dating back to the 1850s, now celebrated for its local flower and fruit growers. Enjoy a guided walking tour, exploring the Swan Reach Museum, and perhaps take a moment to savor a refreshing ale or a delightful cappuccino at the original Swan Reach Homestead, now the Swan Reach Hotel. Following our visit, we cruise southward to Sunnydale, immersing ourselves in the tranquil beauty of the area as we arrive at our overnight mooring. Once ashore, enjoy the Woolshed Show, offering a glimpse into Australia’s rich sheep farming history. Later, visit the Native Wildlife Shelter to meet some of South Australia’s fascinating native creatures before indulging in a special barbecue dinner served on the banks of the Murray River. After dinner, for those who wish, an optional nocturnal tour provides the chance to spot local wildlife.

DAY 10 Cruise from Sunnydale to Younghusband

This morning, seize the opportunity for an early bush walk with the Captain, or opt for an optional Bush Tucker experience. After breakfast, embark on a scenic cruise downriver to Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park, renowned for its majestic cliffs sculpted by the river over millennia. This park holds significant archaeological importance and is home to the Nganguraku people, who have called this area home for over 5000 years. Join a guided tour along the boardwalk, where you’ll uncover ancient rock carvings and delve into the Aboriginal history of the region. Later, return to the P.S. Murray Princess as we continue our journey southward, mooring for the night at Younghusband. If you wish, you may partake in a scenic tender boat ride along the way. Tonight, share a delicious final dinner with your fellow travelers, followed by delightful evening entertainment.
