Day 1 – Arrive in Beijing
Meet your Chinese-speaking arrival guide at the airport or railway station and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to settle in and explore independently.
Day 2 – Imperial Beijing
After hotel breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square for views of the Monument to the People’s Heroes, Great Hall of the People and National Museum. Explore the Forbidden City, then enjoy panoramic views of its rooftops and Beijing’s historic central axis from Jingshan Park. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 3 – Great Wall and Olympic Park
Travel to the Badaling Great Wall and walk towards Haohan Slope. Return to Beijing for exterior views of the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube at Olympic Park, followed by time on Wangfujing Street for shopping and local food. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 4 – Temple of Heaven and Hutongs
Discover the Temple of Heaven, including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Continue into the old hutongs and visit a traditional courtyard home to learn about local Beijing life. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 5 – Beijing to Yichang; Board Your Yangtze Cruise
Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey to Yichang. On arrival, meet the local guide and continue to Maoping Pier. Board your luxury Century cruise, settle into a Deck 5 cabin, enjoy a buffet dinner and attend the safety briefing. Airfares are excluded. Meals: Breakfast and onboard buffet dinner.
Day 6 – Three Gorges Dam and Xiling Gorge
Visit the Three Gorges Dam Scenic Area, Three Gorges Project Museum and Dam Closure Memorial Park. The optional ship-lift experience costs CNY 290 per person. Cruise through Xiling Gorge, attend the Captain’s Welcome Reception and enjoy afternoon tea. A complimentary Badong/Yuxian Valley night excursion is scheduled after dinner, subject to the sailing programme. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night refreshments onboard.
Day 7 – Goddess Stream, Wu Gorge and Qutang Gorge
Transfer to a smaller boat for Goddess Stream before sailing through Wu and Qutang Gorges. At Fengjie, choose one excursion: White Emperor City or Three Gorges Summit. Enjoy a crew variety show after dinner. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night refreshments onboard.
Day 8 – Fengdu
Enjoy a relaxed morning and brunch aboard the ship. Choose one afternoon excursion: Fengdu Ghost City or Xiaoguanshan Ancient Architecture Complex. Return for dinner and the Guest Talent Show. Meals: Brunch, dinner and late-night refreshments onboard.
Day 9 – Disembark in Chongqing
Buffet breakfast is served onboard from 07:00 to 08:30. Disembark and meet your driver-guide at the pier. Visit Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street before checking into your hotel. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 10 – Dazu Rock Carvings
Explore the UNESCO-listed Dazu Rock Carvings, focusing on Baoding Mountain. See the Thousand-Hand Guanyin, Reclining Buddha and Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince, and learn about Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian traditions. Return to Chongqing with free time for shopping and local dining. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 11 – Chongqing to Chengdu
Take the high-speed train to Chengdu after breakfast. Meet your guide and explore Kuanzhai Alley, where traditional architecture, local snacks and lively streets introduce Sichuan’s relaxed city culture. Continue to your hotel. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 12 – Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou
Travel by high-speed train to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station. Transfer to your hotel in the Jiuzhaigou area and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 13 – Jiuzhaigou National Park
Spend a full day exploring UNESCO-listed Jiuzhaigou National Park using the sightseeing shuttle. Discover colourful lakes, waterfalls, forests, mountain scenery and Tibetan highland landscapes before returning to your hotel. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 14 – Return to Chengdu
Take the high-speed train back to Chengdu and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy free time, with optional independent visits to Chunxi Road, the IFS Giant Panda photo spot or Taikoo Li. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 15 – Giant Pandas and Tea Culture
Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, then experience traditional Chengdu tea culture. An optional Sichuan hotpot dinner with a Sichuan Opera face-changing performance is available at additional cost. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 16 – Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng
Discover the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation System and visit Mount Qingcheng, a renowned centre of Taoist heritage. Return to Chengdu after sightseeing. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 17 – Depart Chengdu
After breakfast, transfer to Chengdu Airport according to your flight schedule. Your journey concludes in Chengdu. Meals: Breakfast.
