Day 1 ~Arrived in Uluru- Kata Tjuta Sunset

Make your own way fly to Uluru.

Enjoy a leisurely drive out to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) – For one of our favourite sunset experiences in Central Australia. Along the way your Driver Guide will explain the geological and cultural history of the area.

Take in a magnificent outback sunset – Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta while you take in a magnificent outback sunset with canapés and Australian wine.

Return to Ayers Rock Resort – Approximately 60 minutes after sunset.

Overnight stay: Sails In The Desert ( including breakfast for 2 )

Day 2 ~ Kings Canyon & Outback Panoramas

Travel to Kings Canyon – From Ayers Rock Resort, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (included) along the way.

Climb to the rim of the canyon – Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Follow the rim of the canyon stopping to look down into the canyon gorge at look-out points. Time permitting, you may choose to descend into the green oasis of the ‘Garden of Eden’.

Circuit walk – The circuit walk takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is rocky and steep in parts. It is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor.

Return to Ayers Rock Resort – After lunch (own expense).

Day 3 ~ Welcome Longitude 131° – Uluru Sunset – Field of Light 

Arrive at Longitude 131° to a warm signature welcome. Settle in to the relaxed luxury of the surrounds and savour the magnificent views from your balcony as the light shifts and changes over Uluru.

Capture the changing lights reflected over Uluru’s many faces as the sun slips below the horizon during the Uluru Sunset excursion. The essential outback experience enjoyed with chilled glass and canapé in hand!

Experience Bruce Munro’s magical Field of Light art installation as darkness descends over Australia’s spiritual heartland. The evening seamlessly segues into an exclusive dining event amongst the dunes at Table 131°.

Day 4 ~ Walpa Gorge-Mala Walk-Kantju Gorge

Morning Join the Longitude 131° guide for a walk in the early dawn light through Walpa Gorge and the many heads of Kata Tjuta. Later, a visit to the Culture Centre completes a morning of discovery in the Red Centre.

Afternoon Journey to the base of Uluru to learn about the history of the local Indigenous Mala Peoples on the Mala Walk. At dusk, enter Kantju Gorge illuminated in the light of the setting sun for evening drinks and canapés.

Night Relax in the Dune House with its feel-at-home open bar or toast the view from the Dune Top. Dine at your leisure in the restaurant from 7pm.

Day 5 ~ Say Good Bye To Uluru

Mutitjulu Meander takes in a peaceful waterhole at the base of Uluru as the sun rises over the ancient monolith. Delve into the local Indigenous Dreaming story of Kuniya Piti for a deeper connection.
