Tour to highlights of Iceland’s exciting capital. Borgarfjörður is known as the Saga Valley because with the historical events. Get a chance to climb the Grábrók volcano crater and visit Deildartunguhver, which is the Europe’s most powerful hot spring. Hraunfossar is a series of waterfalls pouring from beneath a wide lava field. Barnafoss – the Children’s falls, is nearby with its own tragic tale. This afternoon includes a lecture about Northern Lights. After dinner, step into the hotel garden in search of the Northern Lights followed by a hot cup of chocolate or tea.

Snaefellsnes Peninsula & Vatnshellir Lava Cave

 

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula which located at west coast. A rugged mountain chain runs its length. Visit the fishing village of Grundarfjörður, a place with an impressive coastline and mountains, lakes and waterfalls behind the village. One of the most photographed and famous mountain in Iceland, Kirkjufell, can be seen jutting out into the bay. Visit Arnarstapi and Hellnar before experiencing the area from below, inside Vatnshellir cave. We take you 35 meters underground and about 200 meters into the lava tube under the glacier Snæfellsjökull! On the way back to Borgarnes the guide gives you some practical tips on how to photograph the Auroras as part of the Northern Lights Academy program. Naturally, once darkness falls, we are out in the hotel garden to chase the Northern Lights and to soak in the hotel’s outdoor hot tubs.

Golden Circle, Thingvellir National Park

 

Travel along the Hvalfjörður fjord. The first stop is at an Icelandic wool outlet store, to see what they do with all those sheep! Continue inland to Thingvellir National Park , a UNESCO World Heritage site. Travel the Golden Circle route, see steam rising from the Geysir geothermal fields. The chef of the Restaurant Geysir invites you to taste freshly baked hot spring bread served with Icelandic butter, boiled eggs and herring. On we travel to double waterfall of Gullfoss. In the afternoon, learn about the Icelandic horse, its unique qualities and history and visit a geothermal greenhouse, before reaching the accommodation in South Iceland. Tonight, step into the darkness and search for the elusive Northern Lights in the peace and stillness of rural Iceland.

Wonders of South Iceland & Eyjafjallajökull Volcano

 

Travel along the South coast. At the Lava & Volcano Exhibition Center, learn about geology and active volcanoes. Further east we visit one of Iceland’s finest folk museums. This museum contains an outstanding collection of farm and domestic artefacts from Iceland’s past and several turf-built houses. Nearby is Skógafoss waterfall which is 60 meters high and one of the most impressive waterfalls in the country. In the afternoon take a stroll on the black lava beach and along bird cliffs at Reynisfjara in South Iceland. We spend two nights near Kirkjubæjarklaustur in the Vatnajökull National Park region, located in darkness and ideal for Northern Lights search.

Vatnajokull National Park & Glacier including Glacial Lagoon and Diamond Beach

 

Today’s program is all about glaciers, ice and icebergs. We travel to Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon filled with floating icebergs, and we explore the amazing site and might see seals swimming in arctic waters. You can walk on the black sandy beach, the so-called Diamond beach, where large icebergs get stranded. In the afternoon we visit the tiny turf church at Hof and spend time at Europe’s largest national park, which has Iceland’s highest mountains, an alpine environment, and Europe’s largest glacier. In the evening enjoy a film presentation about the Northern Lights as part of the Northern Lights Academy program. Be careful not to go to bed too soon in this remote and quiet location, or you may miss out one more chance of seeing the Northern Lights shimmering and dancing across the night sky.

Optional Ice Cave Tour offered between November 15th and March 15th

The tour takes about 2,5 hours in total – a 30-minute drive by 4×4 vehicle from the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and 5-15 minutes hike (one-way). You spend about one hour inside the ice cave. You need good hiking boots, warm clothing that keeps you dry from the dripping water in the ice cave. Minimum age is 10 years old. The ice cave tour can be booked on day 2 of Northern Lights Exploration tour. The ice cave explorers meet their local guide at the glacier lagoon and will be brought back to the hotel after the ice cave tour, while the rest of the group continues the official tour program. The ice cave explorers will miss out on some of the official tour programs, as there is no time for everything, but the stop and visit at the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon are included for all group members.

Across the Eldhraun lava field to the village of Vík, where we make a photo stop. The black lava beach with high bird cliffs and pounding waves is awe-inspiring. Further west we reach the high but narrow Seljalandsfoss waterfall which plunges from the mountain. In the afternoon we get to soak in the famous Blue Lagoon. We reach Reykjavík around dinner time for one last night.

terraces of Nyhavn, and The Little Mermaid. We will then travel to Jutland, passing through

pleasant scenery on our way. En route we take a 20km bridge over the sea and stop at ODENSE,

Travel to HIRTSHALS, where we will take a

ferry crossing the North Sea to Norway. A three-hour voyage to KRISTIANSAND. We will continue

along Norway’s southern coastline and enjoy its stunning landscapes. Next stop STAVANGER, a

small picturesque town that has an active port by the fjord. Note: Ferry operation hours vary

depending on the months. Sometimes it is normally reserved to have lunch on the boat

Stavanger, Bergen

Trip to mount Floyen.Upon leaving the city, we will stop at the ‘Swords in Rock’ monument, where we will be reminded of the Vikings, before continuing the very beautiful scenic tour. We follow the route going through tunnels, bridges and travel some stretches by boat to go along the fjord coast of Norway. One of its

undersea tunnels is the deepest one in the world. This stage gets more relaxed and spectacular

with its two boat trips. We will arrive in BERGEN at lunch time. We take a funicular trip to Mount

Fløyen which offers amazing views of the town and Bergen fjord. There will be some leisure time

later to enjoy the capital city of fjords.

We will Travel to SOGNEFJORD, Norway’s largest fjord. Prior to arrival, we will stop at the beautiful

TVINDEFOSSEN waterfall. We will take a magnificent cruise between the cities of GUDVANGEN

and FLAM; enjoy stunning landscapes during this two-hour voyage. We continue our journey

crossing magnificent snow-covered landscapes. We travel through Lærdal Tunnel, one of the

longest in the world. Next, a visit to BORGUND’s 12th century wooden church (entrance included)

which is considered Norway’s best-preserved medieval church. We arrive in OSLO with free time

to check out its port, main streets, and the artworks at Frognerparken.

Tour with a local guide of the Norwegian capital; this city combines

its vibrant modern architecture with its classical buildings, magnificent scenery and large parks

with sculptures. It has been nominated the “European green capital”. After the tour, if you want you

Today we make a panoramic tour of this very

beautiful capital city built on 13 islands joined together. We will see the Gamla Stand or the “City

between the Bridges”, the old quarter of the city, full of life where there are many monumental

buildings such as the Nobel Museum, alongside the main square of Stortorget, which pays tribute

to the winners of the Nobel Prizes, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we will

enjoy a pretty view from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Then leisure time. We recommend visiting the

museums and parks. Optionally, we suggest a visit to the City Hall and to the Vasa museum-ship.

Stockholm, Stockholm-turku Ferry

 

Ferry to Finland. Enjoy a free day of leisure in Stockholm. In the evening

we will board a modern ferry traveling overnight to Finland, where accommodation will be in double

cabins with private bathrooms.

Arrive in Finland, we recommend that you go to the ship’s deck for sunrise, enjoy mesmerizing landscapes from the sea as we sail along Aland Islands, hundreds of islands covered by forests. We disembark the ferry

and have time to walk around TURKU, a city with a very strong Swedish influence. We continue

our journey to the neighbouring city of NAANTALI, a very picturesque town with wooden houses

next to the sea. We travel on until we arrive in HELSINKI,reaching at lunchtime. In the afternoon

enjoy leisure time, you will be able to explore the city, with its old market, buildings with Russian

influence and churches.

This moring we enjoy aboat trip to Suomenlinna Islands, a group of islands where we can witness a great fortress that used to protect the sea entry to the city, it has been declared World Heritage. Take time to walk

around, it is possible to cross the islands through small pedestrian bridges. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 12

Stavanger, Bergen

Trip to mount Floyen.Upon leaving the city, we will stop at the ‘Swords in Rock’ monument, where we will be reminded of the Vikings, before continuing the very beautiful scenic tour. We follow the route going through tunnels, bridges and travel some stretches by boat to go along the fjord coast of Norway. One of its

undersea tunnels is the deepest one in the world. This stage gets more relaxed and spectacular

with its two boat trips. We will arrive in BERGEN at lunch time. We take a funicular trip to Mount

Fløyen which offers amazing views of the town and Bergen fjord. There will be some leisure time

later to enjoy the capital city of fjords.

Day 13

Bergen, Oslo

 

We will Travel to SOGNEFJORD, Norway’s largest fjord. Prior to arrival, we will stop at the beautiful

TVINDEFOSSEN waterfall. We will take a magnificent cruise between the cities of GUDVANGEN

and FLAM; enjoy stunning landscapes during this two-hour voyage. We continue our journey

crossing magnificent snow-covered landscapes. We travel through Lærdal Tunnel, one of the

longest in the world. Next, a visit to BORGUND’s 12th century wooden church (entrance included)

which is considered Norway’s best-preserved medieval church. We arrive in OSLO with free time

to check out its port, main streets, and the artworks at Frognerparken.

Day 14

Oslo, Orebro, Stockholm

 

Tour with a local guide of the Norwegian capital; this city combines

its vibrant modern architecture with its classical buildings, magnificent scenery and large parks

with sculptures. It has been nominated the “European green capital”. After the tour, if you want you

can visit the Vikings museum. Departure for Sweden. Enjoy landscapes with forests and lakes.

Next stop in OREBRO, a town next to a beautiful lake with a castle and charming historic center.

Time for stroll and to take lunch. Continuing to STOCKHOLM, arriving in the evening.

Day 15

Stockholm

 

Today we make a panoramic tour of this very

beautiful capital city built on 13 islands joined together. We will see the Gamla Stand or the “City

between the Bridges”, the old quarter of the city, full of life where there are many monumental

buildings such as the Nobel Museum, alongside the main square of Stortorget, which pays tribute

to the winners of the Nobel Prizes, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we will

enjoy a pretty view from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Then leisure time. We recommend visiting the

museums and parks. Optionally, we suggest a visit to the City Hall and to the Vasa museum-ship.

Day 16

Stockholm, Stockholm-turku Ferry

 

Ferry to Finland. Enjoy a free day of leisure in Stockholm. In the evening

we will board a modern ferry traveling overnight to Finland, where accommodation will be in double

cabins with private bathrooms.

Day 17

Stockholm-turku Ferry, Naantali, Helsinki

 

Arrive in Finland, we recommend that you go to the ship’s deck for sunrise, enjoy mesmerizing landscapes from the sea as we sail along Aland Islands, hundreds of islands covered by forests. We disembark the ferry

and have time to walk around TURKU, a city with a very strong Swedish influence. We continue

our journey to the neighbouring city of NAANTALI, a very picturesque town with wooden houses

next to the sea. We travel on until we arrive in HELSINKI,reaching at lunchtime. In the afternoon

enjoy leisure time, you will be able to explore the city, with its old market, buildings with Russian

influence and churches.

Day 18

Helsinki

This moring we enjoy aboat trip to Suomenlinna Islands, a group of islands where we can witness a great fortress that used to protect the sea entry to the city, it has been declared World Heritage. Take time to walk

around, it is possible to cross the islands through small pedestrian bridges. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 19

Helsinki to Rovaniemi

 

Today take the flight to Rovaniemi ( Santa Claus Homeland)

You will flight with e.g. Icelandair . SAS , Play air, Finn air. Air Sweden, Norwegian Air….subject to availability ( Flight Included Keflavík Airport “KEF” to Copenhagen Airport “CPH” + 1 piece x 23kg check through luggage  )

This Morning you’ll be transfered to airport.

Day 20

Santa Claus Village with Aurora HUNTING by snowmobile

 

Travel to the most exciting, popular destination in Finnish Lapland, located in the Arctic Circle 15 km north of Rovaniemi city center. The place gives you a jolly and cheerful feeling of Christmas all year round. Explore Santa Claus Village with a lot of Christmas and Lappish products to take back with you, and greet Santa Claus in his office! Join the elves working in Santa’s post office, send postcards to all your friends with a special stamp on them.

You will also visit the Arctic Circle right through Santa Claus Village. A white line denoting the Arctic Circle is painted across the park. You can cross the line and officially enter the Arctic area. Get the Arctic Circle Certificate for the unforgettable travel memory of your lifetime. A delicious lunch will be served at Santa’s restaurant, where will you enjoy the taste of the traditional Finnish buffet.

Animal Wildlife Park with Husky Farm & Reindeer Farm Visits

 

Tour to the Ounasvaara hilltop, the highest point of Rovaniemi. From the Ounasvaara top, you get to enjoy spectacular views of Finland’s arctic nature. After completing one of the most popular Rovaniemi excursions, you will head to the reindeer and husky farm Rovaniemi where you will enjoy a ride on a reindeer sledge. Moreover, when you’re done with the ride, our guides will take you to the husky farm where you will enjoy one of the most popular Lapland safaris. Rovaniemi husky safari is where you get a chance to meet the adorable Siberian huskies and, if the weather is cool enough, you get to experience once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride the husky sledge in Lappish outdoors.

White Icebreaker Adventure

 

Join us on board the White Icebreaker! Enjoy the spectacular scenery, experience walking on the ice sea and learn how to wear the floating suits. Take a dip in the icy ocean, but stay dry and warm in your survival suit. Hear the icebreaker’s history as well as ancient Viking history of the area. Our morning transfer will take you directly to your departure point of the coastal town of Kalix, Sweden on the Bothnian Sea. After the cruise trip, you can enjoy a traditional meal of Swedish meatballs in the Swedish border town of Haparanda.

Ice fishing at Lapland with Nothern lights hunting

 

Hike through the Arctic forest to reach your destination for fishing. If the snow is deep enough, strap on your snowshoes and experience walking with the Arctic style. Arriving at the lake, you will drill through thick ice with the support of your professional guide. Wait for a fish while you enjoy the scenery.

After a while, head for your cookout trip. Gather around a campfire in the snow, taste the Lappish pork sausages and salmon. Delight in grilling your own fish, if are lucky enough to catch one.

After a short break, expeirence the Nothern Light Hunting
