Day 1 – Board The Indian Pacific In Sydney

Departing Sydney’s Central Station, the anticipation builds for the trip ahead as you settle into your first evening on the Indian Pacific enjoying the fabulous food, wine, service and social atmosphere of this much-loved rail journey. (D)

Day 2 – Indian Pacific, Broken Hill And Adelaide

After breakfast, prepare for your first Off Train Experience in Broken Hill exploring the beauty of this Silver City, and discover the history of mining that makes the town what it is today and the artistic culture that also abounds in the area. As you approach the southern tip of the Flinders Ranges, the train weaves its way into Adelaide, and you’ll have more afternoon Off Train Experiences to choose from before returning to the train

Day 3 – Indian Pacific, Nullarbor Plain

Today, wake up and marvel at the raw beauty of the Nullarbor. Taking its name from the Latin meaning ‘no trees’, the ancient Nullarbor conjures the sense of limitless space and time, and this journey is all about those amazing
outback views as you cross this famous stretch of the Australian interior. Finish the day with an unforgettable experience, dining under an outback sky on the edge of the country’s largest sheep station at Rawlinna (seasonal).

Day 4 – Indian Pacific, Perth

Watch the delightful Avon Valley pass as the final stage of your transcontinental crossing unfolds, heading into Perth where your connection with the Indian Ocean begins.

Overnight: 3 night DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront

Day 5 – Perth To Rottnest Island

Make your way to Barrack Street Jetty and board the Rottnest Express ferry to unique, diverse Rottnest Island, located 22km offshore. A 90-minute air-conditioned coach tour around ‘Rotto’ takes you to some spectacular
locations, including Wadjemup Lighthouse and the boardwalk lookout at the rugged West End. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Karma Rottnest Lodge before exploring the island at your leisure. Don’t forget to take a quokka
selfie before you depart! Return to Perth by ferry in the afternoon.

Day 6 Full Day Margaret River, Cave, Wine, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse & Busselton Jetty

We travel south from Perth driving through farmland with grazing cattle and passing by coastal towns. Arriving at Busselton, known as the gateway to the Margaret River Region we stop for morning tea (own expense) at the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere. Driving into the heart of the region we head to one of Margaret River’s oldest breweries for a gourmet platter lunch of local produce, with complimentary beer and cider tastings. 

Following lunch we continue south through the forest to an internationally renowned winery to taste some of their best award winning wines, whilst gaining some industry insight on wine production with the opportunity to purchase. Next it’s on to Mammoth Cave for a guided tour through this gothic cave with vast chambers that reveal fascinating information on the regions flora and fauna. Continuing south, through the Boranup Forest of enormous Karri Trees we reach the most fascinating part of the regionAugusta. Here at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, marvel at the dividing point between the Southern andIndian Oceans, a rare phenomenon to view the meetings of the two Oceans.

Then we head North up to the township of Margaret River for a brief stop to stroll the main street. After a long by fantastic day giving you a full taste of this wonderful region,    it’s back to Perth with an en route comfort stop arriving at approximately 8:30pm.

DAY 7 – Say Good Bye To Perth

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation – this signals the end of your epic journey across Australia
