Day 2: Explore the Great Wall
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a visit to a Jade Museum, where you’ll delve into the fascinating history of jade and witness skilled artisans crafting intricate designs. In Chinese culture, jade is known as “Yu” and boasts a history spanning at least four thousand years.
Following your museum visit, enjoy a scenic drive through picturesque countryside and mountainous landscapes as you make your way to China’s most iconic monument, the Great Wall. Along the journey, you’ll savour a delicious lunch featuring local Beijing dishes.
Upon arrival at the Great Wall, you’ll explore the less-travelled Juyong Pass, which offers a more authentic experience away from the crowded sections. The Great Wall stretches over 5,600 km, winding through China’s northern mountain ranges from the Yellow Sea to the Gobi Desert, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the landscape.

Optional Activities: Hutong Pedicab Tour & Dinner: In the afternoon, take the opportunity to join an optional tour (not included, paid on tour) of Beijing’s 700-year-old Hutongs (narrow lanes) area by old-fashioned pedicab. You will also visit a local family to experience the local customs and enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner. The optional tour also includes visiting Shichahai, a historic scenic area consisting of three lakes (Qianhai, Houhai, and Xihai) which surround places of historic interest, scenic beauty, and remnants of old-style hutong and courtyard local residences. Day 3: Beijing City Tour
After breakfast, you’ll make your way to ‘Tong Ren Tang’ to explore the fascinating world of traditional Chinese medicine. Next, visit Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, where you can take in its vastness and historical significance. Following this, you’ll tour the Imperial Palace within the Forbidden City, officially known as The Palace Museum.

Day 4: Beijing – Wuxi

Day 5: Wuxi – Suzhou
This morning, you’ll gain valuable insight into China’s vast manufacturing and production capabilities with a visit to a Pearl Factory, where you’ll learn about freshwater pearls—an important export commodity with deep cultural significance dating back to the Han dynasty.
Next, enjoy a visit to Lihu Park, a serene oasis located along the picturesque shores of Lake Lihu. Here, you’ll find lush greenery, scenic walking paths, and charming bridges, perfect for taking in the tranquil views. Keep an eye out for locals cycling around the lake, fishing, and boating on the water.
In the afternoon, you’ll drive to Suzhou, where you can check in at your hotel and relax before continuing your adventures.

Day 6: Suzhou – Hangzhou

Following this, you’ll stop by a silk spinning factory, where you can witness first-hand the exquisite craftsmanship that has made China famous for its luxurious silk.

Immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings while learning the art of making Longjing Tea, from picking and frying the leaves to tasting the brew.
Afterwards, enjoy a short boat ride on the UNESCO-listed West Lake, taking in the enchanting views of willow-draped islands. Finally, you’ll drive to Shanghai to visit the iconic Bund, where modern skyscrapers on the eastern side of the Huangpu River contrast with traditional European-style architecture on the western side.
