Waiheke Island seems to be a world beyond the busy metropolises and the concrete jungles. Not just for its beaches and beautiful landscapes; it is also filled with sprawling olive groves and replete with vineyards that produce some of New Zealand’s highest quality wines. Departing from Auckland, you will take a ferry to Waiheke Island, where your first stop is Stonyridge Vineyard. Admire the splendid rows of fine grapes as you enjoy a scrumptious lunch, which will fortify you for your tour of the next location, Rangihoua Estate. Here is where high quality olive oil is made, by the careful gathering of olives and pressing them into the award winning olive oil they are known for, which you’ll be able to try. In the next stop, Casita Miro, your wine tasting begins, sampling some of the vineyard’s most popular wine selections. The same will take place at Mudbrick Vineyard, where in their beautifully maintained gardens you’ll be able to taste their best wines, discerning the bouquets and flavors. Your tour ends with a ferry back to Auckland after enjoying the wonders of the island.
