Planning your trip involves a commitment from everybody in your group. If you are wanting to travel during peak seasons such as Christmas and Easter, you are needing to plan well ahead. Board houseboat at 2pm. Once settled in and a “Captain” has been selected we will take you through the boat and show you where everything is, how it works and teach you to drive it. You can then head off and start your journey along the river and tie up before sunset.
The Gol Gol Hotel is one hours drive upstream and provides excellent moorings. Walk up the hill and dine indoors or outdoors alfresco at the Hotel.
Located on the opposite side of the river from the Gol Gol Hotel is Riverside Golf Course. After mooring take a short stroll up the bank and you will come across the 11 th fairway. Follow this back towards the Club House & Pro Shop. Moorings are available there or anywhere along the river bank that is clear of trees/snags.
Travel from Gol Gol upstream to Trentham Winery, approximately 1 hour. Good moorings available. Trentham Estate Winery offer dine in Restaurant or alfresco on the balcony, enjoy a culinary experience that is fresh, simple and modern with a touch of class, lunches available Tuesday – Sunday with wine tastings available. Wander further upstream or moor along the river and enjoy fishing, waterskiing bushwalking etc.
Travel up to Psyche Pumps, approximately 30 minutes upstream from Trentham Winery. These pumps were originally built in 1891 by the Chaffey brothers to meet the needs of the local irrigation settlement and is a must visit during your journey on the River Murray.
Travelling further upstream another hour is Red Cliffs and an hour further on is the end of our section of navigable river where Lindeman’s Winery used to be located- cheers!
Return on the afternoon of Day 6 to Gol Gol Hotel area for your overnight stay.
Travel back downstream to the mooring site to disembark by 9.00am.
Board houseboat at 2pm. Once settled in and a Captain has been selected we will take you through the boat and show you where everything is, how it works and teach you to drive & moor the boat. You can then head off and start your journey along the river. From the mooring sites to travel downstream you first need to pass through Lock 11. The last opening of the lock is approximately 4.00pm each day. Once you have passed through the lock travel further down stream & find a suitable mooring site for the night. ** All houseboats are guided thru the lock
Travel downstream towards Coomealla, approximately 5 hours sailing from Lock 11. Mooring is available at the Coomealla Golf Club where you can enjoy a round of Golf on the championship golf course. If not a golfer, take a walk and enjoy the wildlife of koala’s, kangaroos, goanna etc. For a meal or a flutter on the pokies visit the Coomealla Service club. A courtesy bus is available to pick up and drop off from the mooring sites.
Travel downstream to Wentworth, approximately 2-3 hours. Here you will leave the Murray River and Join the Darling River.
Good moorings available at the services club. Good moorings just prior to the bridge. Wentworth has plenty to offer, from the services club for meals & pokies, to the historic Wentworth jail, local museum and the Perry Sand Hills.
Wander further upstream exploring the Darling River enjoying the fishing, waterskiing bushwalking etc before returning back to the mouth of the Darling and joining the Murray River. Travel back upstream towards Mildura. Located at Merbein approximately 3 hours from Mildura (or 5 hours upstream from Wentworth) is the Chaffey Lookout. Good moorings available here, simply follow the staircase up the bank.
Return though Lock 11 on the half hour on the afternoon of Day 6. You can either motor upstream and moor at the Gol Gol Hotel and dine there for evening or moor back at the mooring site.
Travel back downstream to the mooring site to disembark by 9.00am
Travel into town and moor at Ornamental Lakes – walk into town for a meal or site seeing.
Alternatively, travel upstream to Gol Gol Hotel, moor at their moorings and enjoy a meal in the restaurant or enjoy Alfresco dining.
Travel to Trentham Estate Winery. A leisurely 1.5 to 2 hour cruise. Enjoy a restaurant lunch or BBQ lunch, cheese platters and wine tastings. Bookings advisable in busy times. Cruise onto Red Cliffs for your second night.
Travel on to Psyche Pumps, a popular tourist attraction. Enjoy the wildlife at Kings Billabong. Travel back to Gol Gol for your third night. Ready for departure at the Marina by 9:00am.

Day One
Board the houseboat at 3pm. Next you will be introduced to the wonderful facilities on board, and given a comprehensive driving and mooring lesson before you relax and settle in to life on board. If you want to stay overnight at the moorings you can stroll up to the Edge Hotel for dinner, or head just a few hundred metres downstream to enjoy a barbecue overlooking the lights of Mildura. In the cooler months this spot is perfect for a campfire!
Or enjoy a pleasant cruise upstream to the award winning Gol Gol Hotel (approx-893km marker) 45 minutes easy cruise upstream. Camp the night at their grassed moorings, walk up and enjoy a fantastic meal in the restaurant or enjoy alfresco dining. Ph 50248492 for bookings
Day Two
Wake up to the peaceful river, and then head upstream for about 2.5 hours to a spot opposite the Red Cliffs. Maybe find a bush spot along the way for a picnic lunch, drop in a line and maybe catch some dinner at a great little spot opposite the Psyche Pumps. Then continue cruising, to find the best moorings for an amazing view of the reflected sunrise off the cliffs in the morning.
Day Three
Up early to see the sunrise, great photo opportunities here! It is too far to walk up into the town, please don’t attempt it! Then a leisurely cruise back downstream towards the moorings, maybe stop at Trentham Estate Winery, approximately 2.5 hours from base (901km marker). Good moorings available. Limited wine tasting is currently available in the restaurant for $10 per person, redeemable on any bottle purchase. Buy a bottle then sit on the lawns and enjoy an afternoon watching the river go by. Maybe start heading downstream and moor back at the Gol Gol Hotel to get a head start for tomorrow
Day Four
An early start if you are still at Trentham Estate to cruise downstream to our Buronga by 9:30am, time to disembark at 10:00am after a great escape.

Day One
Board the houseboat at 3pm. Next you will be introduced to the wonderful facilities on board, and given a comprehensive driving and mooring lesson before you relax and settle in to life on board.
Your first adventure will be to pass through Lock 11. This is a great experience and with one of our experienced staff to guide you, a very enjoyable one. Please remember that the Lock entry needs to be booked, which we are happy to do for you or you can follow the directions in the “Good Book”. Lock times are on the hour going downstream and on the half hour going upstream and there are some restrictions due to Paddle Boat use so booking is essential. The last opening of the lock going downstream is approximately 4.00pm each day. Once you have passed through the lock travel further downstream & find a suitable mooring site for the night. Apex Park or Johnson’s Bend (approximately ½ hour cruising) are both good spots that we can show you on the river maps.
Day Two
Continuing on downstream there are many great spots to moor, beside a sandbar is ideal for swimming and waterskiing or canoeing, and in the cooler months you can finish the day around the campfire. You may wish to walk up to The Australian Inland Botanical gardens. The Australian Inland Botanical Gardens is a garden of International standards and includes a fully developed rose garden containing 1700 rose plants and the historic Garnpang homestead is open on weekends from 10am-4.30pm with Souvenirs and tea, coffee and cool drinks for sale. The gardens are signposted between 878-880kms.
Day Three
Cruise back upstream towards Mildura and catch the lock by 4.30pm on the half hour. Stroll up to town for dinner or pick up take away from Thai-riffic restaurant in Feast Street and dine on board.
Day Four
Cruise back across the river at 9:30am in time for a 10am departure, after a great short break.

Board houseboat at 2pm. Once settled in and a “Captain” has been selected we will take you through the boat and show you where everything is, how it works and teach you to drive it. You can then head off and start your journey along the river and tie up before sunset.
The Gol Gol Hotel is one hours drive upstream and provides excellent moorings. Walk up the hill and dine indoors or outdoors alfresco at the Hotel.
Located on the opposite side of the river from the Gol Gol Hotel is Riverside Golf Course. After mooring take a short stroll up the bank and you will come across the 11 th fairway. Follow this back towards the Club House & Pro Shop. Moorings are available there or anywhere along the river bank that is clear of trees/snags.
Travel from Gol Gol upstream to Trentham Winery, approximately 1 hour. Good moorings available. Trentham Estate Winery offer dine in Restaurant or alfresco on the balcony, enjoy a culinary experience that is fresh, simple and modern with a touch of class, lunches available Tuesday – Sunday with wine tastings available. Wander further upstream or moor along the river and enjoy fishing, waterskiing bushwalking etc.
Travel up to Psyche Pumps, approximately 30 minutes upstream from Trentham Winery. These pumps were originally built in 1891 by the Chaffey brothers to meet the needs of the local irrigation settlement and is a must visit during your journey on the River Murray.
Travelling further upstream another hour is Red Cliffs and an hour further on is the end of our section of navigable river where Lindeman’s Winery used to be located- cheers!
Return on the afternoon of Day 6 to Gol Gol Hotel area for your overnight stay.
Travel back downstream to the mooring site to disembark by 9.00am.
Board houseboat at 2pm. Once settled in and a Captain has been selected we will take you through the boat and show you where everything is, how it works and teach you to drive & moor the boat. You can then head off and start your journey along the river. From the mooring sites to travel downstream you first need to pass through Lock 11. The last opening of the lock is approximately 4.00pm each day. Once you have passed through the lock travel further down stream & find a suitable mooring site for the night. ** All houseboats are guided thru the lock
Travel downstream towards Coomealla, approximately 5 hours sailing from Lock 11. Mooring is available at the Coomealla Golf Club where you can enjoy a round of Golf on the championship golf course. If not a golfer, take a walk and enjoy the wildlife of koala’s, kangaroos, goanna etc. For a meal or a flutter on the pokies visit the Coomealla Service club. A courtesy bus is available to pick up and drop off from the mooring sites.
Travel downstream to Wentworth, approximately 2-3 hours. Here you will leave the Murray River and Join the Darling River.
Good moorings available at the services club. Good moorings just prior to the bridge. Wentworth has plenty to offer, from the services club for meals & pokies, to the historic Wentworth jail, local museum and the Perry Sand Hills.
Wander further upstream exploring the Darling River enjoying the fishing, waterskiing bushwalking etc before returning back to the mouth of the Darling and joining the Murray River. Travel back upstream towards Mildura. Located at Merbein approximately 3 hours from Mildura (or 5 hours upstream from Wentworth) is the Chaffey Lookout. Good moorings available here, simply follow the staircase up the bank.
Return though Lock 11 on the half hour on the afternoon of Day 6. You can either motor upstream and moor at the Gol Gol Hotel and dine there for evening or moor back at the mooring site.
Travel back downstream to the mooring site to disembark by 9.00am
Travel into town and moor at Ornamental Lakes – walk into town for a meal or site seeing.
Alternatively, travel upstream to Gol Gol Hotel, moor at their moorings and enjoy a meal in the restaurant or enjoy Alfresco dining.
Travel to Trentham Estate Winery. A leisurely 1.5 to 2 hour cruise. Enjoy a restaurant lunch or BBQ lunch, cheese platters and wine tastings. Bookings advisable in busy times. Cruise onto Red Cliffs for your second night.
Travel on to Psyche Pumps, a popular tourist attraction. Enjoy the wildlife at Kings Billabong. Travel back to Gol Gol for your third night. Ready for departure at the Marina by 9:00am.

Day One
Board the houseboat at 3pm. Next you will be introduced to the wonderful facilities on board, and given a comprehensive driving and mooring lesson before you relax and settle in to life on board. If you want to stay overnight at the moorings you can stroll up to the Edge Hotel for dinner, or head just a few hundred metres downstream to enjoy a barbecue overlooking the lights of Mildura. In the cooler months this spot is perfect for a campfire!
Or enjoy a pleasant cruise upstream to the award winning Gol Gol Hotel (approx-893km marker) 45 minutes easy cruise upstream. Camp the night at their grassed moorings, walk up and enjoy a fantastic meal in the restaurant or enjoy alfresco dining. Ph 50248492 for bookings
Day Two
Wake up to the peaceful river, and then head upstream for about 2.5 hours to a spot opposite the Red Cliffs. Maybe find a bush spot along the way for a picnic lunch, drop in a line and maybe catch some dinner at a great little spot opposite the Psyche Pumps. Then continue cruising, to find the best moorings for an amazing view of the reflected sunrise off the cliffs in the morning.
Day Three
Up early to see the sunrise, great photo opportunities here! It is too far to walk up into the town, please don’t attempt it! Then a leisurely cruise back downstream towards the moorings, maybe stop at Trentham Estate Winery, approximately 2.5 hours from base (901km marker). Good moorings available. Limited wine tasting is currently available in the restaurant for $10 per person, redeemable on any bottle purchase. Buy a bottle then sit on the lawns and enjoy an afternoon watching the river go by. Maybe start heading downstream and moor back at the Gol Gol Hotel to get a head start for tomorrow
Day Four
An early start if you are still at Trentham Estate to cruise downstream to our Buronga by 9:30am, time to disembark at 10:00am after a great escape.

Day One
Board the houseboat at 3pm. Next you will be introduced to the wonderful facilities on board, and given a comprehensive driving and mooring lesson before you relax and settle in to life on board.
Your first adventure will be to pass through Lock 11. This is a great experience and with one of our experienced staff to guide you, a very enjoyable one. Please remember that the Lock entry needs to be booked, which we are happy to do for you or you can follow the directions in the “Good Book”. Lock times are on the hour going downstream and on the half hour going upstream and there are some restrictions due to Paddle Boat use so booking is essential. The last opening of the lock going downstream is approximately 4.00pm each day. Once you have passed through the lock travel further downstream & find a suitable mooring site for the night. Apex Park or Johnson’s Bend (approximately ½ hour cruising) are both good spots that we can show you on the river maps.
Day Two
Continuing on downstream there are many great spots to moor, beside a sandbar is ideal for swimming and waterskiing or canoeing, and in the cooler months you can finish the day around the campfire. You may wish to walk up to The Australian Inland Botanical gardens. The Australian Inland Botanical Gardens is a garden of International standards and includes a fully developed rose garden containing 1700 rose plants and the historic Garnpang homestead is open on weekends from 10am-4.30pm with Souvenirs and tea, coffee and cool drinks for sale. The gardens are signposted between 878-880kms.
Day Three
Cruise back upstream towards Mildura and catch the lock by 4.30pm on the half hour. Stroll up to town for dinner or pick up take away from Thai-riffic restaurant in Feast Street and dine on board.
Day Four
Cruise back across the river at 9:30am in time for a 10am departure, after a great short break.
